Independent practice for the SAT® exam

This is an independent educational simulator. It is not an official score report, secure testing application, or College Board product.

Scoring methodology

Answers are graded exactly against the imported answer key. Full-test estimates weight Easy questions at 0.85, Medium at 1.0, and Hard at 1.15. A section center is calculated as 200 + 600 × weighted accuracy, adjusted by +20 for a higher route or −20 for a lower route, clamped to 200–800, and shown as a ±50 range. The two section ranges are added for the total.

College Board uses proprietary item-response calibration, experimental items, and equating data that this source bank does not provide. The range is therefore a transparent practice estimate, not a prediction.

Question source

Questions and answer keys are imported from the downloaded College Board Student Question Bank export. The PDFs are a local build input; production does not call the upstream site at runtime. The export contains source-backed multiple-choice and student-produced-response records, with an official raster page image attached to each item.

The supplied export provides answer keys but no worked explanations. Question text and choices are materialized with build-time OCR from the downloaded item images; the original image stays attached for formulas, diagrams, and review of any uncertain character. OCR can misread specialized notation, so the image is the source reference. Difficulty labels are approximate source-bank metadata, not College Board scoring calibration. Numeric responses and graphic items are represented only where they are present in the supplied export. Raw HTML, SVG, and external image URLs are never rendered.

Privacy

Attempts, answers, notes, highlights, settings, and history remain in IndexedDB in this browser. There are no accounts, cookies, analytics, or server-side answer records. Clearing site data permanently deletes progress.
